Please review the URTC COVID-19 safety rules, which follow state and federal orders and public health guidance along with input from USTA. All members and their guests are expected to comply with these safety rules when visiting the club. These rules are designed to protect the health of the URTC community, while allowing members to enjoy the health and social benefits of playing tennis and paddle.  Members violating these rules may be subject to disciplinary action up to and including suspension from the club.

General Safety 

  • Members and their guests should not come to the club if they:

    • have any COVID-19 symptoms

    • have been in contact with anyone known to have COVID-19 in the past 14 days.     

    • are awaiting results of a COVD-19 test

    • have traveled to any state or location in the past 10 days that requires quarantine in NJ, or 7 days if the member tests negative.

  • Masks must be worn while walking to courts and can be removed during play.

  • Maintain a minimum 6-foot distance from non-household individuals at all times. 

  • Please wash hands or use hand sanitizer prior to coming to the club. 

  • Maintain a minimum 6-foot distance from non-household individuals at all times. 

  • Please wear a mask or face covering while at the club. During play, face covering is recommended, but not required.

  • Members and their guests who choose to use the facility do so at their own risk.

Facilities Access*

  • Main clubhouse is closed for socializing. 

  • Restrooms are open. Face coverings are required to enter. No more than 2 people allowed in lower level restrooms at one time. 

  •  Pro-shop is open. Face coverings are required to enter.  No more than 2 people allowed in at one time.

  • Patio is open. Maximum number of people allowed is 25. Please do not move tables or chairs as they are spaced to maintain social distancing. Face coverings are required when entering and exiting patio and recommended while sitting in groups at tables. 

Paddle Rules

  • Reservations are required for paddle courts during peak hours. 

  • Reservation sheet will be sent at 6:00pm every Tuesday (for Fri-Sun) and Thursday (for Mon-Thurs). 

  • When making a reservation, click on the desired day, then the time slot and add ALL names of members (or guests). Please delete your name form the time slot if you need to cancel

*“Consistent with our mission to make the Upper Ridgewood Tennis Club a safe environment for our members, guests, & employees, we are happy to announce a disinfection & sanitization service for the two locker rooms and attached bathrooms, the upstairs bathroom, the bar/food prep area, and the pro shop. Starting Thursday June 25, a preventative treatment service will augment our cleaning by utilizing eco-friendly, broad based EPA approved disinfectants to sanitize and eliminate Coronavirus and up to 99% of enveloped viruses (of which COVID-19 is classified)”.
